2025 Autocross #7 – Points Racing
Join the SCCA – Southern Indiana Region for an adrenaline-pumping experience at the 2025 Autocross #7 – Points Racing event at the MAAC-Mid-American Air Center-AX in Lawrenceville, Illinois. This autocross event is the 7th points race of the year, promising a day filled with excitement and friendly competition for auto racing enthusiasts.
Taking place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the MAAC-Mid-American Air Center-AX, this event offers a thrilling opportunity to showcase your driving skills on a grippy yet bumpy concrete course with more grip than at Nationals. Participants can look forward to enjoying a total of 6 runs, with a chance for those who assisted in course repair during the late winter/early spring to earn an extra run in each heat.
The schedule for the day is packed with activities, starting with course timing equipment setup, course cleaning, and data entry at 9:00 am. Entrants are encouraged to arrive between 9:00 am and 9:30 am for tech inspection, course walking, and the mandatory drivers meeting at 11:00 am. The first car hits the track at 11:30 am, with guest results announced post-event.
Registration for the event closes on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 PM UTC. Costs vary depending on your membership status, with fees ranging from $27 for SCCA Student Members to $57 for non-members, including an SCCA Weekend membership. Please note that online registration is mandatory, and on-site sign-ups will not be available.
All drivers must be prepared to work, alternating between driving heats and working assignments. Additionally, drivers must have a helmet that meets SCCA requirements, ensuring safety on the track. For SIR SCCA members, an annual waiver or a $5 fee for the SpeedWaiver is required.
