DuPage Airport
Chicagoland’s DuPage Airport is located about 30 miles west of Chicago, close to major commercial centers in the western suburbs. It spans 2,800 acres and is home to more than 30 businesses, including the internationally recognized DuPage Flight Center.
Out of this space, 1,200 acres are dedicated to airfield activities, showing its strong commitment to business and recreational aviation. The airport has a Master Plan guiding future aviation-related development.
DuPage is the only general aviation airport in Illinois with:
- Four active runways
- Two ILS approaches
- A 24-hour FAA Air Traffic Control Tower
Its primary runway measures 7,571 feet long and 150 feet wide, making it the second longest in the Chicago area after O’Hare. This runway can handle large corporate aircraft, including the Boeing Business Jet.
The airport also offers:
- A U.S. Customs office on-site
- A 1 million sq. ft. apron
- The largest operational maintenance staff of any general aviation airport in Illinois
