LaSalle Speedway
The Izzo family is proud of the great history that has lead to the evolution of the LaSalle Speedway. The current 1/4-mile, high-banked clay oval is not the first track to occupy the grounds. In 1947, a 1/5-mile oval dirt track called the “Tri-City Speedway” operated at the facility. During the 1950's & 1960's, the facility was used as an outdoor drive-in theater.
In 1992, the Izzo family opened the LaSalle Speedway. Over a decade of improvements and renovations have been done to the facility. The racing surface has received many loads of new clay, while skyboxes were added and grandstands were expanded.
The LaSalle has hosted great touring organizations including the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series, AMA, ARCA Truck Series, and several Dirt Late Model events such as UMP, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. Great county artists including Toby Keith, Sawyer Brown, and Trick Pony have preformed at our speedway.
The history of Speedway is enriched by each racer that competes. Our greatest privilege is to welcome the race fans. With each and every fan, the LaSalle Speedway comes alive. Thank you for making it possible!
